Couple Therapy
I enjoy working with couples at any stage in their relationship. Some couples need a brief relationship tune-up to help things run more smoothly, while others are ready for a more in-depth overhaul of communication patterns. Whatever your situation, let's talk about how we can help everyone feel heard and, ultimately, understood.
I worked with Dr. John Gottman in the late 1990s as he studied how to cultivate lasting, healthy intimate relationships and have been interested in helping couples improve their relationships ever since. After obtaining my doctorate degree, I completed an extensive two-year training program on affect regulation and psychodynamically informed couples therapy. As a certified Gottman Couples Therapist and a PACT-Certified Level II Couples Therapist, I incorporate my understanding of developmental neuroscience, attachment theory, and nervous system arousal into my work with couples.
Contact me for a free preliminary phone consultation if this approach seems like it could be helpful for your relationship.
